On September 3, 2015 Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. made an admission that for more than seven years they have intentionally, deliberately and maliciously designed, manufactured and distributed hundreds of thousands of its purportedly “clean diesel” vehicles with a software algorithm embedded in the engine control module that would falsely appear to pass the federal and state clean air emissions standards.
