Virtual, Inc. Adds Four to Senior Staff

Virtual, Inc. (http://www.virtualmgmt.com), the leading technology-focused association management company, has added four people to its senior staff, to provide guidance to its growing roster of client organizations, as well as providing direction to Virtual's 100-plus professionals.

  • Julie Beck has been hired as Senior Director, Marketing & Communications. She will lead the Virtual marketing team, responsible for both Virtual and client-related marketing initiatives. Her career includes stints at an integrated marketing/PR agency in Boston, at a grocery retailer, and most recently at Monster Worldwide. Julie graduated from Villanova University and holds a Master's degree in Communications from Boston University, where she taught an undergraduate class in Communications Writing for a number of years.
  • Alysia Johnson has joined Virtual as Senior Director, Client Services, with a deep background in association management: 15 years with a California association management company, where she served as Executive Director for a number of telecommunications-focused organizations, providing strategic guidance and operational oversight. At Virtual, she will oversee clients including the Domain Name Association, the NFC Forum, and Universal Stylus Alliance. Alysia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Humboldt State University.
  • Brant Picard is IT Infrastructure Director. He comes to Virtual with 14 years of experience in technology infrastructure management. Most recently, he served as IT Director at Mutualink; previously, he was Technology Operations Infrastructure Manager at OneShield. As head of the infrastructure team at Virtual, he provides day-to-day direction to staff and partners engaged in the management of Virtual's IT and shared services. Brant received a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and he holds Cisco, ITIL and Microsoft certifications.
  • Margot Rodger has been hired as Director, Client Services. Initially she will assist the Virtual events team with an extremely busy fall client event lineup, as well as directing services and activities for clients including the CXPA. An accomplished association management professional, she is a returning Virtual veteran of almost 15 years – she recently spent 18 months at MassTLC before resuming her career at Virtual. Margot was graduated summa cum laude from Saint Michael's College.

"One of our key differentiators is our people. We have staff with the ability and experience to drive organizations and ensure their success," said Virtual president Andy Freed. "I'm delighted to add Julie, Alysia, Brant and Margot to our team -- they are top-caliber individuals who are committed to helping our clients succeed."
