Regency Centers Announces Phase II Development of CityLine Market in Dallas, TX

Regency Centers Corporation, (“Regency” or the “Company”), a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored shopping centers, has announced it has closed on the land for Phase II of its CityLine Market development in Richardson, Texas. The Phase II portion is 100% pre-leased with a 12,900 square foot CVS Pharmacy and new restaurants encompassing 9,000 square feet.

“Phase II embodies the live, work, play philosophy that CityLine aspires to create for the community of Richardson, with the inclusion of CVS Pharmacy and our curated restaurant lineup,” says Ryan Griffin, a senior leasing agent for Regency. “Our goal was to continue adding unique, trendsetting restaurants with a focus on fast-casual dining.”

The newest restaurants to join CityLine Market include Super Chix, Pho is for Lovers and Piada Italian Street Food.

Super Chix’s menu includes cooked-to-order chicken sandwiches, lightly breaded tenders, hand-cut fries, and fresh frozen custard, all made from natural ingredients. Since opening, the brand has been well received by the food community and garnered a loyal fan base.

“CityLine Market will be our third location in the DFW area; the first since our buyout from Yum! Brands this past August,” said Nick Ouimet, Super Chix’s founder and CEO. “We’re ecstatic to share our ‘Classed-Up Chicken Joint’ with Richardson and look forward to years of fast-casual fun ahead.”

A modern, family-owned eatery, Pho is For Lovers is deliciously healthy and authentic Vietnamese food. The simple menu consists of the most popular Vietnamese dishes ranging from Beef Pho made with Certified Angus Prime beef, to vegan options such as fresh tofu summer rolls and toasted Banh Mi sandwiches.

“This is our fourth DFW location. Pho is for Lovers will provide culinary diversity to the CityLine neighborhood and occupy 1,834 SF of space next to other emerging restaurants. The cafe setting provides a quaint backdrop for an afternoon coffee and spring rolls, while the convenience of take-out packaging fits into the lifestyle of the more active patron,” says Jenn Tang, manager of Pho is for Lovers.

Piada is fresh, Italian street food focused on the preparation of high-quality ingredients and attention to simplistic cooking. The restaurant was created with the belief that there doesn’t have to be a sacrifice to quality and flavor in exchange for speed and value.

According to Piada founder Chris Doody, “Dallas has earned national acclaim for its excellent Italian offerings, and the Piada concept, which focuses on quality and authenticity, will speak to the city’s sophisticated palate while offering a distinctive and delicious option for quick and casual dining. We’re thrilled to make our introduction with a restaurant that is central to a myriad of neighborhoods and top business and leisure destinations.”

“CityLine Market will be a place where the community loves to be with its enlarged patios, mature landscaping and convenient parking. This phase of development will reflect the same architecture and placemaking features found in Phase I,” continues Griffin.

CityLine Market is anchored by Whole Foods Market, contains nearly 102,000 SF of retail, and will serve as the cornerstone of essential retail and dining to the massive mixed-use development, CityLine. The center is currently 98% leased and the construction of Phase II is anticipated to start in late 2015.
