CrossCadence Announces Participation In International Thanksgiving Fellowship Celebration

CrossCadence is proud to announce that they were a part of the International Thanksgiving Fellowship Celebration hosted by the Immanuel Baptist Church. The event was an opportunity to bring the international community in Germany together and was a huge success. CrossCadence is looking forward to future international celebrations, which they intend to take part in. Further details are available through http://www.ibc-wiesbaden.com/.

"The International Thanksgiving Fellowship Celebration was a great opportunity for people to come together, but also for children to play a real part in the Thanksgiving tradition," says Brad Schweitzer from CrossCadence. "We were so happy to have been a part of this and we can't wait for future celebrations."

The event was mainly a huge Thanksgiving meal, in which people could share food and stories. A small area was also set up, mainly for children although adults could - and did - take part as well, where they were able to write down the things for which they were thankful. Those taking part were asked to write short sentences, rather than paragraphs, in any language with an English translation if possible.

Photographs were taken of people making the signs and holding them, but also of the food spread and the crowd in general. CrossCadence will be creating a gallery or slideshow of the photographs soon, which will be shared on the Immanuel Baptist Church's website. The photographs truly show the coming together of different cultures, including American expatriates and around a dozen other nationalities. Some have already been released on the photographer's website on http://www.bogiphotography.com/.

"We asked people to write down the things they were thankful for," says Dr. Nick Howard, pastor for the Immanuel Baptist Church. "All those who attended wrote something down, be they single words or short phrases, throughout the event. Photographs were taken of the new paper signs by Bogi Photography, who truly did an amazing job. We can't wait to share the results!"

Each year, the Immanuel Baptist Church starts the holiday season with a fellowship meal at Thanksgiving. This year's was the first time the Thankful signs were implemented and it looks to be a great success. Many other events are planned to include the English-speaking community around Wiesbaden, Germany.
