Brooklyn Alternative R&B Pop Adrian Daniel 'PRIDE' Makes Us Proud
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Dec. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Smooth, soulful, and uniquely determined, Brooklyn’s own Adrian Daniel is revolutionizing R&B/Pop. With three EPs under his belt including 2013’s Memoirs of a Stoner, and videos featured on VH1 and MTV, Adrian is seeking to fill a void in today’s music landscape. Drawing from real experiences and the chaotic emotions of New York City leads to Adrian’s excitingly eclectic signature sound, something recognized and praised by tastemakers including AfroPunk, Okayplayer, Saint Heron, Complex, and VIBE Magazine who noted how “the crazy-haired crooner’s full body vocals are soothing to your ear palette.” Each of his songs relay personal struggles in a way that makes them universally understood, and the grit of the city mixed with Adrian’s passion for reinventing “the norm” makes him an artist to watch out for.

Today, Adrian is thrilled to release his official single, “Pride" from his upcoming album in 2016. The track features clean yet impassioned vocals over old school sounds with a modern influence, courtesy of driving drums and a smooth piano. While the melody is upbeat and warm, the lyrics touch on heavy and personal topics that strike a familiar theme with Harry Chapin's Grammy nominated 'Cat's in the Cradle'. “Pride is about how the absence of a father/mother could lead to the mistreatment of the person you love because you never got that love from your parent,” says Adrian. "The first half represents my father not being in my life and me thinking if I was the perfect kid maybe he would have wanted me more and would have stayed, and that transitions to the second half and how I turned the void of him not being there towards the person I love, and how pain was all I knew so how could I know how to love someone when I didn't get that love from my father. Which is why I say, 'Father, have I made you proud for what I have done to the women I love.'”
