By: PRLog
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Dec. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Orange Park, Florida – Local Jacksonville community choir Emorja Roberson & Rejuvenation will perform with Michael McDonald during his holiday concert, Michael McDonald: This Christmas, An Evening of Holiday and Hits on Saturday, December 19 at 8:00 PM at Thrasher-Horne Center. The night will include some of Michael McDonald’s hits as well as holiday favorites that will put listeners in the holiday spirit.  Rejuvenation will join Michael McDonald on stage for hits such as “Here to Love You,” “Love is the Answer,” Children Go Where I Send Thee,” “What the World Needs Now” and the Doobie Brothers classic, “Takin’ It to the Streets.”

Emorja Roberson & Rejuvenation officially debuted, under the direction of Emorja G. Roberson, in September 2013 at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Middleburg, FL.  Consisting of some of the most outstanding vocalists in the Jacksonville Metropolitan area, the choir includes ministers of music, choir directors, soloists, and ordained ministers of the gospel.  Recently, Rejuvenation released their first live recording entitled Rejuvenate Me in August 2015.  Rejuvenate Me has been nominated under the Rhythm of Gospel Awards for three categories: Alternative Christian Gospel CD, Community Choir of the Year, and Contemporary Choir of the Year for the upcoming 2016 award show.

Distinctive and soulful, Michael McDonald’s voice is one of the most yearningly emotive instruments of our times. To this add formidable songwriting and keyboard skills, and you have an artist who has been a singular musical presence for four decades. From ‘70s-era Doobie Brothers classics such as “What A Fool Believes” and solo hits like “I Keep Forgettin’” through two highly-acclaimed Motown albums, genre-busting guest spots and innovative concept shows, the five-time Grammy Award winning McDonald is both timeless and ever-evolving.

Tickets for Michael McDonald: This Christmas, An Evening of Holiday & Hits are now available to Thrasher-Horne Members.  General public tickets will be on sale starting Friday, August 14 at 10 AM.  Additional information is available at THcenter.org or (904) 276-6815.  Thrasher-Horne Center is located at 283 College Drive in Orange Park and is owned and operated by St. Johns River State College.
