Minimum Wages Set to Increase in New York

On Thursday, the state's minimum wage increases to $9 an hour from $8.75. For fast-food workers, the hourly minimum wage increases to $10.50 in New York City and $9.75 in the rest of the state as part of a gradual phase-in of a $15 minimum hourly wage at restaurants with at least 30 locations nationwide.
