UMB Financial Corporation Appoints Leroy J. Williams to Board of Directors

UMB Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: UMBF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Leroy J. Williams to the UMB Financial Corporation Board of Directors.

Williams has more than 20 years of experience in the information technology services industry. He is currently vice president of information technology and services at Ball Corporation, a metal packaging company for beverages, food and household products which posted $8.6 billion in sales for 2014 and employs 14,500 people worldwide through its subsidiaries. Previously, he was executive director of the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment.

Williams has served on multiple boards, including the Denver Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Legacy Foundation, Aurora Education Foundation, Logan School for Gifted and Talented, Community College of Aurora Foundation, Colorado Workplace Development Council, Colorado Commission on Information Management and the Colorado Commission on Science & Technology.

Williams earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver. He also graduated from Denver Technical College with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems after serving in the U.S. Army for four years.
