Werner Kicks Off Unique Driver Appreciation Spring Celebration

Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, is undertaking an event unique in the industry and recognizing its drivers with a weeklong Driver Appreciation Spring Celebration from March 20-26. Werner executives will travel nationwide to hold ceremonies appreciating professional drivers at terminals across its network.

“As we celebrate our 60th anniversary in business, Werner recognizes that this accomplishment wouldn’t be possible without our elite drivers,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Derek Leathers. “It’s important to the Werner team that we support our professional drivers and appreciate their accomplishments every day.”

Throughout the week, members of the Werner executive team will visit more than 10 terminals across Werner’s network to show their appreciation for drivers with meaningful discussions about the future of the industry. Drivers will receive either free breakfast or lunch and appreciation gifts at all events. Werner has more than 9,000 professional drivers and owner operators traveling approximately 3 million miles each day and supporting a network of 7,500 trucks and more than 24,000 trailers.
