Our directory service is a community outreach program focused on developing the power necessary to create those changes. These existing online search tools wait for the user to input certain criteria. They enter a keyword for food or shelter - to locate matches containing that word. The search results are entirely dependent on the search words they enter.
And, even then, the online user is offered a host of redundant pages filled with repeated information throughout the search page results.
Try searching for shelters with in your area and you'll soon realize that even through the latest search engines you'll get page after page of redundant material.
The HELPS Resource Center Directory is very different because the information is already sorted into categories and available 24/7. All the user has to do is point and click. The HELPS Resource Center Directory instantly puts people needing help in touch with those who can help them - so that anybody in that geographic location can find help easily, quickly and effectively.

HELPS Resource Center plans to open 400 resource directories in major cities all across America over the next 12 months and to become a valued partner in the community. With the cooperation and aid of local businesses, organizations, resource programs and projects, HELPS can play a central role in communities to help provide instant online access to valuable resources directly to the people who need them the most.
