Nordstrom Inc. (NYSE: JWN) disappointed with sharply lower first quarter earnings that fell short of expectations of 26 cents per diluted share compared with 66 cents per diluted share last year and lowered its full year guidance. Shares of the retailer plummeted $6.07 to close at $39.16.
