Fort Dodge, Iowa, Partners with Iowa Interactive to Provide Payment Processing Services

The City of Fort Dodge, Iowa, is using a new Web-based payment processing system, called PayPort, to collect right of way permits, excavation, and utility payments online and over-the-counter. The service is available online at www.fortdodgeiowa.org and processes secure, real-time transactions via debit card, credit card or eCheck.

“We’re impressed with this system—it’s quick and easy-to-use,” said Michelle Hefley, Fort Dodge City Treasurer. “It has streamlined our collection process and made things run smoother in our office.”

Fort Dodge is the 12th city to partner with Iowa Interactive, LLC of Des Moines, to provide payment processing services using PayPort. The service was provided at no cost to the city and replaces an existing system that terminates services and support May 26, 2016.
