Being Boring: Dow, S&P 500 Erase Losses as Fed Stands Pat

Stocks...after the Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged but said the risks to the U.S. economy had "diminished." The S&P 500 is little changed at 2,168.68, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average has risen 35.50 points, or 0.2%, to 18,509.25. The Nasdaq Composite has gained 0.5% to 5,137.26. The Fed's inability to change is getting to Hilltop Securities' Mark Grant , who summarizes the Fed statement thusly:
