Amazon posts record quarterly profits, CEO Jeff Bezos becomes world's third richest person

Amy R. Connolly SEATTLE, July 29 (UPI) -- Amazon.com posted record second-quarter earnings Thursday of $857 million, or $1.78 per share, on $30.4 billion in revenue.
