FootGolfers Get their Kicks on the Course at Fox Hills

A must-do with your friends and family before the end of summer!
PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Aug. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center was the first course in Michigan to introduce FootGolf to the greens in 2014. Since that launch, the wildly popular trend has drawn players between the ages of three and 90 to the Plymouth, Michigan course, prompting a demand for more tee times and regular outings and events.

"The game has just skyrocketed here," said Julia Grelak, Director of Sales and Marketing at Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center. "We had to expand our hours. Our reservations for FootGolf are matching the demand for our reservations for golfers on our Par 3 courses. People of all ages love it because you don't have to be an avid golfer, and you don't need any of the traditional golf equipment to get out on the course, get some exercise, and have a great time!"

FootGolf is a hybrid mix of golf and soccer, and is played by the same rules as golf, though the cups are 21 inches in diameter and the holes are shorter. Players use their feet, instead of clubs and golf balls, to drive and putt their way through the course.

Due to the popularity, Fox Hills now has FootGolf tee times available from Dawn to Dusk daily. The course has also partnered with Founders Brewery to introduce "FootGolf Fridays" for the 21 (yrs.) and older crowd. The monthly outings run from 3:00 pm till Dusk and offer FootGolfers 18 holes of FootGolf, a hot dog, chips, three Founders beer tickets, and a chance to compete for prizes and swag for $30 per person. Upcoming FootGolf Fridays are scheduled for July 29 and August 26, 2016. Advance registration is required.

FootGolf prices range from 9 holes for $15 to 18 holes, with a cart, for $30 at Fox Hills. Junior (under 17 yrs.) and Senior (over 60 yrs.) can try out the sport for $10 - $20, and special twilight discounts are available after 3:00 pm.

All that's required for FootGolf at Fox Hills is a soccer ball (bring your own or rent one for $5), tennis shoes or indoor soccer shoes (no cleats), and a willingness to have a good time with family, friends, and co-workers on the course.
