Tech Data Corp. (Nasdaq: TECD) paid approximately $2.6 billion in cash and stock to acquire the technology solutions business of Avnet (NYSE: AVT). Shares of Tech Data leaped $15.46 to close at $84.80 while Avnet stock climbed $2.68 to close at $41.89.
