Ann Arbor hotel holds unexpected surprises for business travelers.

He planned to stay at his typical local hotel, Weber's Inn. Due to a local convention, the rates were much higher than Haverty was willing to pay. When he arrived, Haverty was welcomed by the receptionist who was able to arrange a room for him at their sister hotel next door, The Kensington.

As soon as Haverty walked in the door of The Kensington, he "was impressed with the chic lobby decor and the welcoming atmosphere of the reception staff," especially when they offered him "water or champagne" when he checked in.

The next day, Haverty, who considers himself a 'foodie', ate at the hotel restaurant. "I ordered summer chowder soup was blown away with the quality and flavor," he said.

"I travel over 100 days per year for work," Haverty said, "and I've stayed in countless hotels throughout my career. My stay at The Kensington was truly exceptional and I plan to stay there again when I travel to Ann Arbor in the future."
