Darn You Deutsche Bank! Dow Drops 160 Points as Fear Infects U.S. Markets

Stocks are sinking this afternoon as fears of an impending crisis at Deutsche Bank ( DB ) cause investors to flee the market. The S&P 500 has fallen 0.8% to 2,155.07 at 1:27 p.m. today, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average has dropped 162.44 points, or 0.9%, to 18,176.80. The Nasdaq Composite has declined 0.7% to 5,279.86. If you're looking for someone to blame for the market decline, blame Deutsche Bank. Its ADRs have dropped 7.1% to $11.43 in afternoon trading on reports that funds that clear trades with the German banking giant are reducing the amount of collateral they have on hand .
