Arch Insurance Group Appoints James Slate Senior Vice President and Head of Accident & Health (US)

Arch Insurance Group, a member of Arch Capital Group Ltd., announces the following:

James Slate has joined Arch Insurance Group as Senior Vice President and Head of Accident & Health (US) effective August 30th. Based in Jersey City, NJ, Mr. Slate succeeds Richard Richiski who retired earlier this year. In this role, Mr. Slate will have management oversight for Arch’s US-based A&H underwriting and sales teams, and report to Michael D. Price, Chief Underwriting Officer, Arch Insurance Group (US).

Mr. Slate most recently served as Head of A&H – US at AIG. During his 26-year career, he has held senior A&H and Travel management and underwriting positions with AIG and Allianz with territorial responsibility for US, Canada, China, Japan, India, Singapore and Australia. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University and holds an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth.

Contemporaneously with this announcement, Arch Insurance named Carol Adams Senior Vice President, Underwriting for Accident & Health (US), reporting to Mr. Slate.
