Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota - October 17, 2016 - (Newswire.com)

The Dead End Hayride and Chive Minnesota collected hundreds of new toys by giving FREE admission to anyone that brought a brand new toy valued at $15 or more on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 during their 2nd Annual Toy Drive to benefit the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota!

Halloween is associated with all kinds of horrors, but Jeremy Hastings, owner of The Dead End Hayride in Wyoming, Minnesota, sees its life-giving charitable side.  “We want to change the shape of the relationship between Halloween and charity by giving back to our communities and by providing significant support to nonprofit organizations” said Jeremy Hastings.

The Dead End Hayride is a family owned business, and after learning about the needs of the “Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, they wanted to do everything they could to help give back to the community and found a unique way to do it.

Employees were blown away by the hundreds of people that showed up with new toys in exchange for free admission.  "It really touched our hearts to make a difference in the lives of these children in need," said one employee.

The Dead End Hayride celebrates its 2nd year as the top charity-benefiting haunted house in Minnesota, and was recently voted one of the “Top 25 Haunted attractions in the World” by BuzzFeed News 2016.
