Steward Health Care Selects HealthTrust to Provide Spend Management Solutions

HealthTrust announces it has signed an agreement with Steward Health Care LLC to be its exclusive Group Purchasing Organization. HealthTrust was selected for the company’s spend management solutions including immediate contract value and broader supply chain management services. The agreement, which is effective December 1, 2016, also contemplates Steward’s utilization of HealthTrust inSight AdvisorySM expertise in the areas of custom sourcing, purchased services, item master services and spend analytics as well as targeted savings opportunities in non-traditional spend categories such as facilities management and energy.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Steward is an integrated, community-based health system with 3,000 physicians, 10 hospital campuses and 24 affiliated urgent care locations. Since its creation in 2010, the privately-held health system has built an integrated portfolio of inpatient and outpatient services in the communities it serves.
