Tim Thomas' return to the professional basketball court will be electric. Thomas, a former NBA standout, will play for his own Jersey Express franchise, immediately putting last year's ABA champions, the Jacksonville Giants, at a disadvantage to repeat for the crown.

Additionally, former NBA legend Harvey Grant takes the coaching reigns of the Virginia Storm. Will this "Blue Chip" coaching addition increase Virginia's chance of knocking off the reigning division champion DMV Warriors in the increasingly competitive Mid-Atlantic Division?
Speaking of movies, could 'Hoop Dreams' movie-star-turned-basketball-coach William Gates lead his Laredo Swarm franchise back to the ABA Final 8 hosted in Baltimore this year? One team likely to be waiting on them will be the Baltimore Hawks.
