Following backups, the solution virtualizes the backups on the appliance, boots them up to verify recoverability and to detect any backup concerns. These screenshots are then sent via e-mail to the administrator. Scripts can be used to verify applications as well.

Time-Based Cloud Retention

Idealstor’s unique billing model takes the guesswork out of cloud billing. Storage for appliances is based on time-frames versus trying to estimate how many gigabytes a customer may need; available as a 1 year or infinite cloud retention. Ransomware Detection

Idealstor Flashback actively monitors backups, and when a ransomware footprint is detected, Flashback notifies admins that they have a likely ransomware attack on their hands. From there, recovery is simply a matter of restoring from a previous backup.
