Deere: Putting Its Money Where Its Mouth Is?

In my Trader column from Dec. 3, I argued that Deere ( DE ) could have more upside despite having gained more than 30% in 2016 at the time. My argument was part technical--Deere was breaking out of a very long-term range--and part fundamental--Deere had reduced costs and was prepared if demand increased. Since then, Wall Street analysts have been bullish and bearish , and in a note today, Credit Suisse analyst Jamie Cook and team came out on the bullish side, And among the reasons is the cost-cutting that Deere has been doing:
