Emmy-Award Winning Journalist Creates New Skin Care System to Empower Women

About Angelica Atondo Nava

Emmy- Award winning journalist, Angelica Atondo Nava, was born in Piquito, Sonora, Mexico. An overachiever from the start, Angelica began her journey in media at the young age of 12 conducting a radio program for the station, UK 570 in Caborca, Sonora, Mexico. As a young adult, Angelica moved to Tucson, Arizona, to continue her studies and joined KHRR-TV40, Telemundo's television network as a reporter, collaborating with radio station Radio Hits 1030 AM. Two years later, when she turned 19, she joined the Univision Arizona KTVW news team, quickly becoming one of the nation's youngest hosts on the network. A few years later, Angelica was promoted to Univision’s third largest market as lead news anchor for the Chicago station and in four years time, Atondo managed to establish a respected social media presence and quickly became a voice of support and encouragement for Latinos, mainly women living in the U.S. 

Additionally, Angelica has been nominated for a Billboard Award and a "Lo Nuestro" award for co-authoring the song "Tu Ya Eres Cosa Del Pasado" performed by Fidel Rueda. Angelica is also the owner of six restaurants in the Chicago area, the founder of Belzima Skin Care Systems, CANAVI Enterprises LTD, with several digital platforms, Author of the book "El Secreto Para Logralo," and "Superate Woman" she is currently in the process of finishing her third book.

Angelica currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband, musician and entrepreneur Edgar Nava.  She is the mother of two daughters, Farah Elena and Natalia.
