Turmoil & Teflon: Dow Gains 110 Points as Stocks Slide Higher

Even turmoil in Washington D.C. can't stand in the way of a market making new highs. The S&P 500 advanced 0.5% to 2,349.25 today, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average 107.45 rose points, or 0.5%, to 20,611.86. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.6% to 5,819.44.
