About the Author
Robert Louis Shepard’s motto is that “It’s more productive to focus on your capabilities than your limitations.” He uses his philosophy to help others to focus on their strengths and capabilities. Combining his experiences and his exposure, he became a passionate advocate for inclusion of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the federal government’s multi-billion dollars-a-year research enterprise.
After a 47-year separation from his alto sax, in 2011 he picked back up his sax and is having fun reacquainting himself with how to make music. Shepard lives in Maryland and North Carolina with his wife. “Fulfilling My Destiny, Step by Step” is his first book.
