Shortage of Workers in Trucking Industry Prompts Site to Pair Trucking Employers with Truckers

TruckingTrucking.com has announced the revival of their website.  According to the American Trucking Association, the meridian of salaried and full-time trucking workers was reported 4.2 percent higher earnings in the first quarter of 2017 than this time last year.  Despite the increase in pay, there is a steady decline of workers in the trucking industry.

“At TruckingTrucking.com, we are dedicated to helping truckers find jobs and stay up to date with the latest in trucking industry news,” stated Richard Pugh, a TruckingTrucking.com representative.  “There is a huge shortage of truck drivers and an abundance of trucking companies looking for quality workers.  We have relaunched our website to help remedy the situation.  Our goal is to pair great drivers with great companies.”

The ratio between supply and demand greatly determines the trucking industry.  Fuel prices, weight restrictions, truck capacity, miscellaneous regulations and many other factors play a part as well.  Recovery from the trucking slump has been projected, still the available truckers are far less than the jobs at hand.

More than 3 million truckers are currently employed by the trucking industry within the United States. With the average driver bringing home around $40,000 and owner-operators grossing $200,000 and beyond, the shortage of trucking employees has been attributed by many to be the result of the lack of two things: information and hook-ups.  TruckingTrucking.com has rallied to the cause to provide up-to-date, current news as well as coupling drivers with employers.

“There is indeed a shortage of truckers and as trucking jobs continue to increase,” Pugh expounded.  “We at TruckingTrucking.com believe it doesn’t have to be that way.  There are tons of drivers that are seeking gainful employment with excellent trucking companies.  The two just need to meet and that is what we are here for.”
