Centreville, VA - April 26, 2017 - (Newswire.com)

MicroAutomation, a recognized leader in 9-1-1 solutions, announced the appointment of James Dundas as a consultant and Director of Business Development.

Mr. Dundas’ career started in Fairfax County, Virginia, where he rose from Firefighter to Battalion Commander, including serving as Fire Communications Manager, where he assisted with the County’s Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management systems implementations. After retiring from public service, Jim has served as a public safety consultant and industry subject matter expert supporting several organizations, including iXP Corporation, Big Sky, Inc. and Northrup Grumman Information Systems.

“Jim brings an invaluable perspective to our Emergency Solutions practice,” stated Suresh Gursahaney, MicroAutomation’s founder and CEO. “Today’s NextGen911 solutions require more than just technology; they must fully appreciate the critical role of call takers as the first step in emergency response. As a former communications expert in the field, Jim has experience in this area and will allow us to better engage our customers from a functional and operations standpoint complementing our proven technology and integration capabilities.”

“I am truly excited about this opportunity to continue to support the industry that I’ve dedicated my entire professional career to,” said Mr. Dundas. “I have seen too many empty promises made by other manufacturers and vendors, and welcome this chance to be part of a team committed to do the right things, the right way.”
