Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Meir Lewis as a Managing Director and Head of Insurance Investment Banking.
Lewis will join from Morgan Stanley where he spent the last seven years providing investment banking coverage to the North America Insurance sector with a focus on large-cap P&C carriers, specialty mid-cap companies, and life and reinsurance clients. He will be based in New York and report to Celeste Guth, Co-Head of Global FIG.
“We continue to invest in our FIG platform and the addition of Meir will help further strengthen the strategic advice we provide to client in the insurance sector,” said Guth. “We see significant opportunity for our firm and our clients as they adapt to the global transformation taking place in the industry.”
Lewis started his career at Citi where he spent 10 years in both Tel Aviv and New York. He graduated from Yeshiva University with a BA in Mathematics and is a CFA Charterholder.
This is the fourth MD Deutsche Bank has said it has hired for its FIG platform since the beginning of the year and the ninth for Americas Corporate Finance.
