Adam Horner: The Next Aussie Actor Breaks Hollywood

Los Angeles, CA - June 20, 2017 - (Newswire.com)

It was only a few years ago Aussie actor Adam Horner made his way to Hollywood. Originally born in Essex, England, he lived most of his life in Western Sydney. Horner was a graduate of the Newtown High School of Performing Arts and quickly began his acting career in Hollywood straight out of high school.

Horner commented, “I first went to Hollywood at a pretty young age. I was 19. As a 19-year-old it was all super exciting. I had a lot of support from some of the big guys in casting in the U.S. They helped me get my agent and manager at the time so when I got here, I really hit the ground running.”

Horner is yet another young Aussie star taking Hollywood by storm. He first appeared on American TV on the “Glee” spin-off show “The Glee Project” but had his big film break soon after, acting alongside Oscar-nominated actor and film veteran Eric Roberts and “Pretty Little Liars“ star, Sydney Penny. Since then he has worked on a slew of films, both in Australia, in the U.S. and even a TV pilot that was shot partly in Romania starring fellow Aussie actor Louis Mandylor from blockbusters such as My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 & 2.

“It’s been a crazy few years. Sometimes I have to pinch myself. You get to some of these sets and look who is around. I mean, I grew up watching a lot of these people,” said Horner.

Horner recently has starred in the Aussie movie “Rough Stuff” alongside Australian icon Ernie Dingo. “Rough Stuff” is currently in theaters and recently screened at the Cannes Film Festival. He also starred in Australian film “ Ravenswood,” a horror movie shot in Sydney that is now available worldwide. ”Ravenswood” has won an abundance of awards including best horror film at the renowned Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards and best film at the Southern Sykos Horror Film Festival. More recently Horner shot a film called “The Hard Way” with Helen Slater from “Supergirl,” a viral web film called “ Two on the Run” which was executive produced by Eli Roth and boasts over a million online views. Eli Roth produced “Cabin Fever” and recently co-produced the new “Baywatch“ movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. He also stars in another movie called “Coven,” starring alongside Terri Ivens from the 9-time Emmy award-winning Amazon series “The Bay.” “Coven” will be released in late 2017.

“This year is and has been just as busy, but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. I’ll be shooting another two feature films later this year that I have been attached to. And then I’ll be heading to Europe again soon after to shoot another film. It’s going to be a big exciting year,” said Horner.
