D.R. Horton, Forestar Group to merge under new $560M agreement by year's end

Arlington-based homebuilder D.R. Horton Inc. (NYSE: DHI) and Forestar Group Inc. (NYSE: FOR) of Austin announced they have executed a definitive merger agreement for the North Texas builder to acquire 75 percent of the currently outstanding shares of Forestar in a deal valued at $560 million.
