New FDA regulations send shares of Altria and British American Tobacco tumbling

The Food and Drug Administration will adopt new regulations to lower the amount of nicotine in cigarettes sending shares of Altria Group Inc. (NYSE: MO) and British American Tobacco (NYSE: BTI) tumbling. Shares of Altria plunged $7.02 to close at $66.84 while British America Tobacco stock plummeted $4.92 to close at $64.93.
