Publix creates new VP role to strengthen online grocery ordering

The new role comes on the heels of two major moves in the grocery world: Amazon.com's plans to buy Whole Foods Market Inc. (Nasdaq: WFM) for $13.7 billion, and Publix's own commitment to offer Instacart delivery from all of its stores by 2020.
