"After considering careers in business and healthcare, real estate seemed like a great alternative because it combines hands-on people skills along with assisting people to make important financial decisions. My mom was working in interior design at the time, and so I went around with her to look at different properties, and it made me fall in love with real estate."

As a thought-leader in his industry, Mr. Squires is uniquely positioned to identify emerging trends in his market. In particular, he is extremely excited about the growing real estate market in and around Greenville. He’s quick to point out that despite the proximity to the Raleigh metropolitan area and beaches along the coast, Greenville remains one of the most affordable places to live in the region and is also home to East Carolina University. Lately, Mr. Squires has been noticing the changing behaviors of young buyers and what they look for in a home. As he notes, their taste isn’t the same as their parent’s generation:

"Our market isn't trendy like other larger cities and can sometimes seem a bit slow design-wise. We’re about three to four years behind the triangle. I’ve noticed younger people, my age, aren’t really into the concept of new construction, and people are getting away from that."

A lifelong resident of Pitt County, North Carolina, Mr. Squires set his sights on serving the community he knows best. Working with individuals and families in Greenville and surrounding areas, he strives to build lasting client relationships as he helps people realize their real estate dreams.
