This Illinois startup’s solar-powered routers are bringing better Wi-Fi to public spaces

Launched in the spring of 2016, Gardner’s company, Mesh++, is building hardware solutions in the form of solar-powered WiFi “nodes” (routers) that form a mesh-like network which are able to communicate with each other using data already stored on the devices.
