Seaport Global Securities Expands Energy Infrastructure Team

Seaport Global Securities LLC (“Seaport Global”), a full-service investment bank, today announced that it has expanded its equity team with the addition of Managing Director and Senior Energy Infrastructure Analyst Bernie Colson and Managing Director and Institutional Salesman Wayne Sansiviero, whose primary focus is growing the firm’s energy infrastructure business with institutional clients. Together, they bring 41 years of experience covering the energy infrastructure space and join Managing Director and Senior Energy Infrastructure Analyst Sunil Sibal who covers both credit and equity securities in the space.

Bernie brings 16 years of investment research experience both on the sell side and buy side, primarily covering energy infrastructure and master limited partnerships (MLPs). He was previously Managing Director of Equity Research at Oppenheimer & Co., where he covered energy stocks across the value chain, including gathering & processing, pipelines & storage, retail propane distribution, oilfield services, exploration & production, and general partners. He also previously worked at Global Hunter Securities, predecessor to Seaport Global Securities’ equities division. Prior to his sell-side career, Bernie invested in energy infrastructure and electric utilities on the buy side at firms such as Tortoise Capital Advisors, Waddell & Reed, and Citigroup Asset Management. He holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Business School.

Wayne brings 25 years of experience in securities sales and capital markets with a specialization in midstream and US energy infrastructure companies. Prior to Seaport Global, he was Managing Director at Clarksons Platou where he spent five years spearheading and launching midstream sales, trading and research and serving as relationship manager to institutional and family offices making investment in master limited partnerships. Wayne also spent over 15 years at Lehman Brothers, Oppenheimer and Global Hunter Securities in capital markets, syndicate and sales roles with a focus on natural resources and midstream. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and resides in Huntington, NY.
