Deputy Head for UK BATCIS presents exclusive keynote at SMi's Network Centric Warfare conference which will take place on 1-2 February 2018 in Rome, Italy.
LONDON, England - Oct. 17, 2017 - PRLog -- Earlier this year, the UK Ministry of Defence has issued a tender valued at £50-95m to support key focuses undertaken by the Battlefield Tactical Communications and Information Systems (BATCIS) team, including the MORPHEUS programme.

In line with this, we are delighted to announce that Brigadier Richard Spencer, Deputy Head of the UK MoD's BATCIS Delivery Team, will be presenting an exclusive keynote at the Network Centric Warfare conference in Rome next February.

With a focus on developing next generation tactical communication systems to strengthen UK operational capability, Brigadier Spencer will discuss the following points:

* How intensely networked forces work together to create battlefield force multiplication
 - Utilisation of real time data and communication systems to improve Command and Control and operational effectiveness
* Delivering an open agile network through EvO (evolve to open) of legacy communication systems
* Successes of BATCIS in delivering the next generation communication networks for the UK MoD
* Working with industry partners to secure long term interoperability
* Looking forward: future ambitions of Project Morpheus

Brigadier Spencer joins a line-up of experts shaping up this vital area of defence. Other featured speakers include representatives from the Italian Air Force, Italian Army, DISA Europe, DSTL, US Army Europe, NATO Shape, NATO Defence College Foundation and more. Visit the event website to view the full list of speakers and presentations.

Network Centric Warfare 2018 will provide a platform to address challenges and issues surrounding the demand for modernisation and digitisation of information, the growing need for interoperability within communication systems, and procurement for technological advancements of military assets.

The full agenda as well as registration information can be found on www.netcentric-warfare.com/prlog.

There is currently a £400 Early Bird offer available for bookings done by 31st October.
