Hawaiian Airlines CEO downplays 'Southwest effect,' but study suggests otherwise

Routes serviced by Southwest Airlines are roughly 15 percent cheaper than those that the low-cost carrier doesn’t fly. But whether that pattern of lower fares will will hold true when Dallas-based Southwest begins to fly to Hawaii is a matter of intense debate.
