They encourage the catch and release method, which keeps fishing enthusiasts happy and beginners interested in fishing. With Charleston Trophy Fishing, customers get the full package including the relevant fishing licenses, different kinds of tackles, Penn reels, and stick rods; all with a friendly instructor keeping customers company throughout the entire fishing expedition. While youths and beginners are welcome aboard the 18′ action craft, there is a strict ‘No Yelling’ policy in order to make sure that each fishing expedition is a successful and memorable one. Some of the more common catches that are available all year round are the red drum, sea trout, and sheepshead. Certain months will see a spike in their numbers overall within Charleston’s waters.
Available charters are comprised of half day charters (4 hours), 3/4 day (6 hours) charters, and full day (8 hours) charters; each retailing for $400, $600, and $800, respectively. For a different streak of adventure, there are other packages such as Harbor & Shem Creek cruises, picnics on Morris Island, the excitement of dolphin watching, and sharks tooth/shell hunting expeditions. These will cost $100 per hour.
The fall charter fishing packages offered will take up to 3 people at most in order to ensure privacy, with a minimum hire period of 2 hours per charter.
