Grant Thornton names Rimma Tabakh as Greater Bay Area Local Audit Practice Leader

Grant Thornton LLP has named Rimma Tabakh as the firm’s Greater Bay Area Local Audit practice leader. In this role, she will be responsible for driving the highest quality audit services to clients in the firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices.

Having recently returned from China where she was the U.S. resident partner based in Shanghai, Tabakh supported Grant Thornton China in the execution of audits of U.S.-listed companies located in China, as well as American companies with significant operations in China and Asia Pacific. She also supervised cross-border transactions including initial public offerings of foreign filers.

Tabakh has more than 18 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to multi-national corporations and private clients. She has led initial and secondary public offerings, performed due diligence in acquisitions, supervised intricate international audits (including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance), overseen various SEC filings, and advised European, American and Asian companies on cross-border and capital raising transactions.

Tabakh is a certified public accountant in California and an Audit Committee chair for two non-for-profit entities. While in China, she was the vice-chair of the Women Executive Network committee of the American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai and a board member of the Association for Corporate Growth China.
