The West Side/Elmwood Village is the cultural center of the region with institutions such as Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Kleinhans Music Hall and Burchfield Penney Art Center. SUNY Buffalo State and the large student population provide a never-ending source of energy in the area. The boundaries are Main Street to the east, 190 to the west, the Scajaquada Expressway to the north and the Kensington Expressway and Virginia Street to the south.
