The new “Nursing and Healthcare Worker Rapid Pain & Relief Program” is a comprehensive, non-surgical program that will help injured nurses receive relief from work-related injuries, repetitive stress injuries, or repetitive lifting injuries.
“Many people don’t realize that nurse and healthcare personnel injuries on the job is a national epidemic problem,” said Dr. Mahoney. “For many of the afflicted individuals, these injuries are career-ending, not to mention excruciatingly painful and difficult to manage each day. We’re introducing a non-surgical program that is custom tailored to specifically address and support the healthcare professionals affected by work-related injuries.”
In articles released every year by the likes of NPR and the New York Times, reporters cite that nursing employees suffer 35,000 back and other injuries every single year from moving patients, lifting patients, moving equipment, and assisting in procedures. As a result, after years on the job, nurses can permanently damage their backs during the heavy lifting process.
The new pain and relief program will include specific, gentle spine and postural corrections, non-surgical spinal decompression for herniated, bulging and degenerated discs, deep tissue/muscle therapy, corrective/rehabilitative exercises, and specific injury prevention strategies and training.
