Athenahealth axes 9 percent of Atlanta workforce in $100 million cost restructuring (SLIDESHOW)

On Oct. 19, Watertown, Mass, based Athenahealth said it would cut 9 percent of its more than 5,500 employees companywide. In Atlanta, Athenahealth employs about 700 at Ponce City Market, where it has sales, marketing and general administrative teams. The company plans to cut 61 jobs in Atlanta, according to a filing with the state.
