SMARTIE announced today that it is raising funds via a rewards campaign on Indiegogo to cut production cost for their new ebike, SMARTIE. The company has set out to raise $35,000 on Indiegogo to lower the cost of production on the first batch of their latest invention that is going to change the electric bike market.
The new electric bike features Bluetooth App technology that allows the user to control several aspects of the ebike from their phone. The APP also features GPS & maps that offers another level of convenience to it’s users. In addition to the Bluetooth APP, there is has a built-in touchscreen LCD display that allows the user to view the bike’s speed, distance traveled, battery capacity, and it also has the headlight and pedal assist controls.
SMARTIE also has many safety features that include: A bright integrated headlight, large flashing tail light, handle bar side lights (that turn red when braking) and front & rear disc brakes. These safety features allow for greater visibility for the rider because they can be seen more clearly from all sides.
The ebike is also extremely lightweight, weighing only 16kg, and folds up in seconds. It’s small design allows it to be stored in small spaces, such as an office, car trunk, apartment, or even a hallway closet.
The founder of SMARTIE, Tammy Bates stated, “At SMARTIE. we believe that more people should get outside and ride a bike. It’s fun, it saves gas and it keeps us active. But, we also know that not everyone is fit enough to ride as far as they want to so, most the time they don’t ride at all.
“That’s why we designed SMARTIE to be fun and it offers three levels of pedal assist. This allows the rider to pedal as much or as little as they want. SMARTIE also features a thumb throttle on certain models. We also loaded it with safety features and utilized innovative technology to give our customers the best ebike experience possible.”
SMARTIE was founded by entrepreneur Tammy Bates, who is passionate about the environment and successfully created a startup company in the field of solar energy. She has several years experience in product development and manufacturing and has established business relationships all over the world.
