Betting on future of widespread web connectivity, Silicon Labs to take $282M bite into lucrative market

Austin-based Silicon Laboratories Inc. will pay $7.05 per share in cash, about 26 percent higher than Sigma's Dec. 6 closing price of $5.60 per share.
