Elon Musk, a man who wants cars to drive themselves and start colonies on Mars, has been preoccupied by hats lately.
Since October, Musk's Boring Company has been selling $20 hats bearing the company's name. On Tuesday, he said 35,000 of the 50,000 hats had been sold. And on Thursday, Musk said 10 customers will get to tour the Boring Company's Los Angeles tunnel and drive one of the tunnel-boring machines.

10 hat aficionados, in appreciation for their exquisite taste in millinery, will be picked at random to tour the LA tunnel & drive boring machine
"10 hat aficionados, in appreciation for their exquisite taste in millinery, will be picked at random to tour the LA tunnel & drive boring machine," Musk said on Twitter.
Musk founded the Boring Company to relieve traffic congestion by creating a network of underground tunnels that could move cars at speeds of up to 150 mph. The company has been digging its first tunnels in Los Angeles and hopes to expand to Chicago, New York, and Washington, DC. It recently revealed a map of its proposed tunnel system for LA.
As of Thursday, hats were still available on the company's website.
