Goodfriend Publishing, a publication house based in New York, has released a new video explaining the reasoning behind its latest title ‘God is Gay’. An analysis of the Holy Bible, the God is Gay title explains that God and his Word do not segregate gay men or women from the church. Written in a straight-forward manner, this title uses Bible quotes to prove any statements made, and it empowers Christians both gay and straight to build a stronger faith.

Recently released, the video quotes the Pew Research Center as stating that 70 percent of Americans are Christian, and yet the majority do not attend church regularly. But what is even more interesting is that most American Christians believe that the church should accept homosexuality. However, most denominations do not.
Analyzing bibles from 1599 through to 2015, the God Is Gay title notes that pre-1995 editions do not mention the word homosexual, and yet, many versions after 1995 do. Therefore, the new God Is Gay video suggests that the insertion of the word homosexual in the Holy Bible is not an exact interpretation of God’s Word. Instead, the video indicates that church leaders may not be accurately translating God’s Word, and rather, giving it altered meaning that conveys their homophobic views.
Aptly called the ‘Straight Christian’s Guide to the Gay Issue’, the God is Gay title highlights that God made gay people for a reason, and purpose. As such, the title enables Christians to now debate the issue with their religious leader and to prove their reasoning.
