U.S. durable-goods orders jump on aircraft, but key number disappoints

Orders for long-lasting goods made in the U.S. rose 1.3% in November, but the closely followed measure of orders of key capital goods excluding aircraft fell 0.1%, the Commerce Department says Friday.
