Spectrum Brands in talks with majority shareholder on ‘potential strategic transaction’

The Middleton-based consumer products firm, whose products also include Kwikset door locks, IAMS pet food and Repel insect repellent, said it will postpone its 2018 annual meeting of stockholders originally scheduled for Jan. 30 because of the ongoing talks.
